Jack REALLY wanted donuts. I've made fried donut holes for him before, but never cake-style. I found this little mini donut pan at the store, and I figured I'd give it a try. I used a little too much batter in the chocolate ones though. ;)

Pepperoni Fried Rice
Jack wanted fried rice for lunch. Sara wanted steamed broccoli.
I might not feed my kids what most people would call "healthy food." However, with feeding my son, feeding food that doesn't HURT is much more important to me than feeding him health-food!

Pizza, Pizza Rolls, and Salad
What Jack calls "pizza" isn't quite what you think of with that word, but it LOOKS enough like the real thing to keep a 5 year old happy. Then a basic garden salad with a home-made safe vinaigrette.

Hot Dogs in Bread
Jack's favorite adaptation on "pigs in a blanket." The splitting is intentional because he likes to put mustard in the cracks. I also do make breakfast sausage roll-ups the same way but with more binder in the dough so they don't split. :)
Chicken Butternut Soup
Sort of a chunky crockpot soup/stew we had a few nights ago when our gas was turned off for repairs.

Pork Chops and Mashed Potatoes
Very simple. Very basic. Very few ingredient adaptations on fairly traditional.
The light breading on the chops is just rice flour, potato starch, salt, black pepper, powdered ginger, and ground mustard. I just put a few Tbsp in a gallon ziploc bag and shake it onto the chops.
